Limescale settles as white, dull deposits on terrazzo, especially on floors and around water. Remove it carefully with Denwax Pink Stone, which loosens limescale and grime without scratching, then wipe with a damp cloth. Never use vinegar or acidic limescale removers, as the acid dissolves the binder and etches the terrazzo. Apply a layer of care afterwards, so limescale is less likely to return.
A dull, grey terrazzo floor is most often caused by dirt, soap residue, and a worn surface layer—not that the floor is worn out. Wash the floor with a mild soap and a well-wrung mop, rinse, and allow it to dry completely. Then apply a thin layer of Denwax Care, which revives the colour and restores depth and shine. This leaves the floor looking fresh again without sanding.

Clean the terrazzo surface with Denwax Clean and then ensure that all soap residue is removed with a damp cloth. Wipe immediately with a dry cloth. For terrazzo floors, Denwax Clean is lightly diluted in water and applied with a well-wrung floor mop.
NOTE: Never use vinegar, acidic agents, or limescale removers on terrazzo—the acid dissolves the binder in the terrazzo and damages the surface. Denwax Clean is soap-based and pH-neutral, and therefore safe for terrazzo.
Apply Denwax Care in a thin layer to a dry, clean terrazzo surface and buff afterwards with a dry cloth. Denwax Care protects the terrazzo against stains, moisture, and everyday wear.
NOTE: Never apply in direct sunlight during the summer months, and ensure that the item has not been overheated by the sun.
