It is cleaned with a mild soap and a soft brush that removes dirt and green algae, and a subsequent care layer makes the surface water-repellent and easier to maintain. Denwax Clean and Denwax Care are our 100% natural products for cleaning and caring for nonwood. Denwax Clean is an effective cleaner that removes algae, green growth, dirt, and pollen from nonwood decks, nonwood boards, and nonwood cladding. Denwax Care protects the nonwood surface against UV rays, moisture, and weathering, and preserves the material’s colour and structure over time. Both products are biodegradable and safe to use outdoors.

Dilute Denwax Clean slightly in a bucket of water and apply the solution to the nonwood surface with a soft brush or scouring sponge. Scrub along the grooves and grain of the boards—never across, as this may leave visible scuff marks on the surface. Let the product work for a few minutes on particularly dirty nonwood or surfaces with algae and green growth, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Nonwood quickly accumulates biological growth such as algae and moss, especially on shaded sides and after the winter season. Thorough cleaning with Denwax Clean in spring and autumn keeps the nonwood deck clean, attractive, and slip-resistant.
Note: Do not use a pressure washer on nonwood—the pressure can penetrate the material and damage the surface. Denwax Clean provides thorough, gentle cleaning without the risk of damage.
Apply Denwax Care in a thin, even layer to a dry, clean nonwood surface and buff afterwards with a dry cloth. Denwax Care penetrates the surface and protects the nonwood material against UV rays that over time can bleach and dry out the material—and against moisture and weathering that can lead to cracking and deformation.
Note: Never apply in direct sunlight during the summer months, and ensure the surface is not overheated. Allow the nonwood deck to dry completely before treating with Care—never on a damp or wet surface.
Tip: Clean nonwood with Denwax Clean 1–2 times a year and always finish with a layer of Denwax Care once the surface is dry. This significantly extends its lifespan and makes the next cleaning much easier.
