Cleaning and care of travertine – Natural products for travertine floors, travertine tiles and limescale remover

Denwax Clean, Denwax Care and Denwax Pink Stone are our natural products for cleaning, care and limescale removal for travertine. Denwax Clean is a pH-neutral, soap-based cleaner that is gentle on travertine’s lime-sensitive surface. Denwax Care protects and cares for the travertine. Denwax Pink Stone is used to remove limescale deposits – far more gentle than acidic limescale removers that can etch the travertine.

Denwax Clean – Cleaning travertine floors and travertine tiles

Clean the travertine surface with Denwax Clean and then make sure to remove all soap residue with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly immediately with a dry cloth – do not allow water to sit in the pores of the travertine. For floors, Denwax Clean is lightly diluted in water and applied with a well-wrung floor mop.

NOTE: Never use acidic cleaning agents, vinegar or limescale removers on travertine – travertine is limestone and reacts chemically with acid, causing permanent damage. Denwax Clean is soap-based and pH-neutral and therefore safe for travertine.

Denwax Care – Care and protection for travertine floors and travertine tiles

Apply Denwax Care in a thin layer to a dry, clean travertine surface and then buff with a dry cloth. Denwax Care penetrates the pores of the travertine and protects against moisture, stains and daily wear.

Note: Never apply in direct sunlight during the summer months, and ensure that the item has not been overheated by the sun.

Denwax Pink Stone – Limescale removal for travertine

For removing limescale deposits on travertine tiles: Lightly dampen the surface and apply Denwax Pink Stone with the included sponge. Gently rub over the limescale-affected areas in circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry immediately with a dry cloth. Finish with a layer of Denwax Care to protect the surface.

NOTE: Pink Stone contains a mild abrasive – use a light touch and always test on a hidden area first. Do not use on travertine with a polished gloss finish.
